Rock Paper Scissors

Pat and Ronnie work the lighthouse at Shetland's Muckle Flugga – neighbour to 46,000 gannets and 200,000 puffins and the gale force winds fuel waves that lash the rock above the deep North Sea. Vegetarian ex-student Dougie lands, the newest keeper of the light.
But Dougie didn’t do lighthouse lore at uni. So maybe his eyes will get pecked out by a bonxie, he'll be attacked by a basking shark, or Davy Jones may come calling. Meantime he’s got his hands full with Ronnie’s malevolence and Pat’s creepy homeliness. As the walls close in on the trio, they play Rock Paper Scissors to determine who is king for the day.

The Last Great Roadhouse in Paradise

Paradise is in bad decline. The once thriving remote Queensland town is down to just three inhabitants. Mother and daughter Holly and Ivy run the Roadhouse, drumming up business by leaving nails in the road for passing cars. Ned hasn't done much farming since the drought began and he was accused of killing his wife, Marlene.
When American scientist Cindy gets stranded, she calls in Davo, a policeman with a penchant for Columbo. He's determined to get to the bottom of the mysteries. And he might just be dumb enough to pull it off.
One thing is certain. Paradise will never be the same again.
